Heather Claypool Photography - Engagement photos
(Columbus, OH)
Although our wedding is going to be in Wisconsin we opted for our engagement photos to be taken here in Columbus. Heather was very easy to work with and schedule...she right off asked if we wanted to meet up and talk face to face to go over details, examples, and answer any questions we might have.
Being as though we did not know the area as well as some, Heather offered up a list of possible places to have pictures taken depending on the feel we were going for. Her list was very helpful and we easily narrowed down the location for our session.
The pictures are great, we got a teaser right away, and our gallery shortly after. Guest book is on it's way along with the Save the Dates, we have our digital images and we couldn't be happier.

Vistaprint...a bride's bestfriend!
Yep I got creative with my STD's
Stumbling across several references to Vistaprint and the great deals on theknot's discussion boards...I finally ventured over. I mean who doesn't like a great deal? The items I have ordered from Vistaprint I have been very happy with (some I order for Columbus Dog Connection) and I have gotten many compliments on. Here are a few and I am sure more will follow.
Anyone in question - sign up for the emails and get the deals, you won't be disappointed!

All Dressed Up
(Northeast Wisconsin)
Thanks to a fellow knottie I was suggested to check out Jami with All Dressed Up Event Planning. The price sounded good - and so I emailed. I was blown away with the list of things she would take care of. Neither mom is much for crafts and me being the DIY bride - it helps to have someone with the keen eye and experience to make it all happen for me. Best of all Jami will be taking over the vendors a week before the big day - so I won't know if there is a hiccup or not!

After two years of facebook stalking her - she is MINE! Just kidding - Kim "friended" me after my brothers wedding so I have seen her work and heard all about her saucy chicken addiction for about two years. (Which works two fold because she knows my personality and knows I do A LOT of volunteering with dogs.)
Now it's my turn and when it came to photography I could only think Kim. Not a lot of photographers caught my eye like hers (yeah I have some others as friends on facebook too) and I have worked with her before.

Well flowers I wasn't too excited about since I knew they were pricey and I wanted bold flowers. They after all going to be the focus. On a whim my mom and I hit a bridal expo and well I met Mindy and Lynda and got so excited. Within 5 minutes we were finishing one another's sentences.
They say no one is as excited about your wedding as you were - which I agree is true but they definitely got me excited about it. They are located in Waukesha and were willing to work with my photog who could bring up flowers (they have done numerous events together) or bring them up. Their delivery fee was less than other local florist in Green Bay...they wanted to use the flowers I wanted, gave me a visual, and worked with my ideas...bonus - they also were the least expensive estimate I got! Check out my "inspire me with color" ---> flowers to see what I am using.

Monzu Bistro
(Green Bay)
Where to begin? I contacted Jennifer and set up a tasting and well she was the third place (in one day - oy!) that we went to. Before I had a chance to ask Jeff what he thought he was on the third flavor and going strong! Other places I had to beg him to try the stuff. He knew I was happy, he was happy, and we could have just signed the agreement right there. Another bonus this estimate was less than others we had gotten, the cake was better, Jennifer was amazing, and we both got what we wanted.
The cake is European style, very light. Despite the buttercream that I was less than excited about this cake is amazing. Buttercream and all. Check out "Inspire me with color" ---> Cake to check out what my cake will look like and flavors.

Runaway Spoon
(DePere, WI)
Well we split the difference with the cake. Jeff really loved the amaretto with this baker (I loved one of their cakes too but it was super sugary and sweet). Our compromise was we would use Runaway Spoon for the groom's cake. And we are. To see what they came up with for Jeff's cake check out the rehearsal dinner tab on the left - it's at the bottom.
I had no doubts that they would be fun to work with on this project...you want something Tim and Lindsey come together to make it happen.
